Solanum-Audio App for iOs
Use a mobile device and the sound a vehicle makes to narrow down where to start looking for problems. The app gathers a 6-second recording, sends it for processing, and 10-15 seconds later reports whether the acoustic signature of any of 7 classes of common automobile malfunction is detected.

The model is trained to ignore most sounds in the shop or near a busy road. It's also been trained on what the malfunctions it's looking for sound like from the driver seat, so using it won't involve much additional effort. It's designed to work with gasoline- and electric-powered passenger cars and light trucks and any iOs 13.0 or later device- including iPads!

We also offer old-school "manual" audio analysis (link), that can be used for more precise information on the exact nature of engine problems, including whether the problem is from the rotating assembly or top end, whether it's an exhaust leak or abnormal combustion that sounds like a mechanical problem, and in some cases the approximate mass of the components involved in a mechanical failure.
