Solanum-Audio: The iOs app that listens to your car! Record from the driver’s seat, no login needed, and get insights on car sounds AND lack thereof—fast, easy, and grease-friendly.

Use a mobile device and the sound a vehicle makes to narrow down where to start looking for problems. The app gathers a 6-second recording, sends it for processing, and 10-15 seconds later reports whether the acoustic signature of any of 7 classes of common automobile malfunction is detected.

The model is trained to ignore most sounds in the shop or near a busy road. It's also been trained on what the malfunctions it's looking for sound like from the driver seat, so using it won't involve much additional effort. It's designed to work with gasoline- and electric-powered passenger cars and light trucks and any iOs 16.0 or later device- including iPads!
